Our Proprietor

Tony Pritchard qualified as a social worker in 2000 and has since worked with children and families in a variety of different settings. Through volunteering in alternative provisions in Nottingham, he saw the difference that strong relationships, a sense of belonging and the right environment could make to children that found mainstream settings difficult.

This led Tony to create a school where relationship-based and restorative approaches would not be an addition or an afterthought, but a key part of its DNA.

Our Headteacher

Nyree has many years of leadership experience within the education sector and has recently worked as a full-time Ofsted inspector. She has extensive experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and is passionate about improving the life chances of young people who have previously been marginalised within their communities.

As Hillside's founding Headteacher, Nyree is helping to build a school where children feel safe, understood and able to succeed.
